Inventory still low and homes selling quickly - May Stats

Total home sales in the Mid-Kansas region rose by 30.1% last month to 173 units, compared to 133 units in May 2020. Total sales volume was $24.6 million, up 44.6% from a year earlier. The median sale price in May was $129,900, up from $120,000 a year earlier. Homes that sold in May were typically on the market for 49 days and sold for 100.0% of their list prices.

The total number of active listings in the Mid-Kansas region at the end of May was 161 units, down from 422 at the same point in 2020. This represents a 1.1 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of May was $125,000.
