Sales up overall in January

Total home sales in the Mid-Kansas region rose by 21.1% last month to 86 units, compared to 71 units in January 2018. Total sales volume was $10.2 million, up 24.3% from a year earlier.

The median sale price in January was $115,000, up from $99,900 a year earlier. Homes that sold in January were typically on the market for 91 days and sold for 96.7% of their list prices.

Reno County had a great January up 50% compared to 2018.

Inventory remains low in McPherson and Reno Counties. And Days on Market figures were down for every area, meaning it doesn’t take as long to sell a home as a year ago.
