Total home sales in the Mid-Kansas region rose by 30.9% last month to 106 units, compared to 81 units in January 2021. Total sales volume was $14.9 million, up 42.9% from a year earlier. Homes that sold in January were typically on the market for 59 days and sold for 100.0% of their list prices.
Mid-Kansas Active Listings Down at End of January
The total number of active listings in the Mid-Kansas region at the end of January was 135 units, down from 199 at the same point in 2021. This represents a 0.9 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of January was $109,900. During January, a total of 121 contracts were written up from 112 in January 2021.
Reno County Home Sales Rose in January
Total home sales in Reno County rose by 28.2% last month to 50 units, compared to 39 units in January 2021.
The median sale price in January was $116,695, up from $95,000 a year earlier. The total number of active listings in Reno County at the end of January was 54 units, down from 67 at the same point in 2021. This represents a 0.7 months’ supply of homes available for sale. During January, a total of 70 contracts were written up from 49 in January 2021.
