Mid-Kansas Home Sales Fell in August
Total home sales in the Mid-Kansas region fell last month to 159 units, compared to 160 units in August 2021. Total sales volume was $29.0 million, up from a year earlier.
The median sale price in August was $150,000, up from $138,000 a year earlier. Homes that sold in August were typically on the market for 43 days and sold for 100.0% of their list prices.
Mid-Kansas Active Listings Up at End of August
The total number of active listings in the Mid-Kansas region at the end of August was 190 units, up from 185 at the same point in 2021. This represents a 1.4 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of August was $129,900.
During August, a total of 135 contracts were written down from 172 in August 2021. At the end of the month, there were 159 contracts still pending.
