April 2024 Market Snapshot Shows Inventory Is Up

Mid-Kansas Home Sales Fell in April
Total home sales in the Mid-Kansas region fell last month to 131 units, compared to 138 units in April 2023. Total sales volume was $23.6 million, down from a year earlier.
The median sale price in April was $167,900, up from $155,000 a year earlier. Homes that sold in April were typically on the market for 7 days and sold for 100.0% of their list prices.
Mid-Kansas Active Listings Up at End of April
The total number of active listings in the Mid-Kansas region at the end of April was 232 units, up from 184 at the same point in 2023. This represents a 1.9 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of April was $179,450.
During April, a total of 121 contracts were written down from 148 in April 2023. At the end of the month, there were 166 contracts still pending.
