Mid-Kansas Home Sales Rose in October

Total home sales in the Mid-Kansas region rose by 17.6% last month to 120 units, compared to 102 units in October 2023. Total sales volume was $22.6 million, up 15.0% from a year earlier.

The median sale price in October was $149,450, down from $157,000 a year earlier. Homes that sold in October were typically on the market for 12 days and sold for 100.0% of their list prices.

Mid-Kansas Active Listings Up at End of October

The total number of active listings in the Mid-Kansas region at the end of October was 288 units, up from 258 at the same point in 2023. This represents a 2.4 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of October was $179,000.

During October, a total of 110 contracts were written down from 114 in October 2023. At the end of the month, there were 150 contracts still pending.
