Total home sales in the Mid-Kansas region rose by 6.7% last month to 112 units, compared to 105 units in December 2022. Total sales volume was $17.5 million, up 17.6% from a year earlier.
The median sale price in December was $134,450, up from $130,000 a year earlier. Homes that sold in December were typically on the market for 19 days and sold for 97.6% of their list prices.
Mid-Kansas Active Listings Up at End of
December
The total number of active listings in the Mid-Kansas region at the end of December was 221 units, up from 174 at the same point in 2022. This represents a 1.8 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of December was $174,900.
During December, a total of 87 contracts were written up from 80 in December 2022. At the end of the month, there were 104 contracts still pending.
