Total home sales in the Mid-Kansas MLS region rose by 28.6% last month to 171 units, compared to 133 units in June 2016. Total sales volume was $22.3 million, up 39.0% from a year earlier.
The median sale price in June was $117,500, up from $102,200 a year earlier. Homes that sold in June were typically on the market for 71 days and sold for 97.2% of their list prices.
The total number of active listings in the Mid-Kansas region at the end of June was 635 units, up from 629 at the same point in 2016. This represents a 3.7 months’ supply of homes available for sale. The median list price of homes on the market at the end of June was $121,900.
During June, a total of 117 contracts were written up from 116 in June 2016. At the end of the month, there were 149 contracts pending, compared to 145 at the end of June 2016.
